Some questions shouldn't be answered. Some answers aren't good enough considering the circumstances. One of these will prove to be the case. No hope, no St. Teresa's, shit storms everywhere. With no other options, Davis, Shots, Beth, and Tenison have all journeyed to what may very well be the origin of all their viral problems. This may very well end this chapter, one way or another.
Series one conclusion. Be sure to stay up to date for information about series two and episode 6.

Hope should be the farthest thing from anyones mind. The Remains have all been killed. The group finds death wherever they go. And the little boy they thought they had rescued may now have been part of the creation of the deadly infection that seems to have left millions of people dead. St. Teresa's is no longer a safe place. So without any other direction to go, our survivors seek out the place where the infection seems to have originated.
They were seven, now they are three. The other side of the river didn't prove safe for them as once thought. Davis, Beth, and "Shots" survived another zombie attack and have now met a group of survivors known as The Remains. Led by Tenison, a man who watched his wife die only to become a zombie, he has given our survivors some rather bad news: St. Teresa's isn't the safe place as they thought.
When the group set out together, they were seven people looking for hope. By the end of the last episode, zombie were encroaching on their hideout, bombers were closing in on their location, and one of them had turned on them to thin out the herd. "Dearly Departed" picks up with the survivors en route to St. Teresa's, the only place they know that may be safe from the viral scourge that is transforming everyone susceptible.
A viral infection has struck. The first version left many sick and dying. The mutation that followed killed millions. The final mutation brought about untold horrors: zombies.
Those that survived the airborne version now try to survive the fluid borne version that is past from infected to infected.

While the infection seems spread only through fluid, the threat of this virus getting to the survivors of the airborne version is just as horrifying as ever.
Seven people start out trying to make it out of the city and across the river to a place they had heard about before the media went quiet. They are running from zombie, the left overs of the military trying to fire bomb the infected, and themselves. Limited supplies and itchy trigger fingers have caused this group to come to their last chances of survival.
