The University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria hosted the first annual international conference in honor of Professor Falola on Africa and the African Diaspora (TOFAC). A yearly event, TOFAC will move from one African country to another and bring together the next generation of scholars interested in Africa and African issues of concern.
TOFAC 2011 focused on Creativity and Cultural Expressions in Africa and the African Diaspora. The conference drew an international group of participants who discussed issued ranging from African Literature to Media and the Movie Industry to Language and Speechmaking.
A yearly event, TOFAC will move from one African country to another and bring together the next generation of scholars interested in Africa and African issues of concern.
