  5. I live in 34th Street, Midtown Manhattan. Every day, before I take the subway I pick up a free newspaper and read it while I go to my studio in the Bronx. Once I am there, and by the means of painting, scanning, projecting, re-sizing and installing I transform a common object (newspaper) into art, rendering the common object strange. Instead of the traditional format of a newspaper I pin the sheets next to each other in a formal manner onto the walls and floors, deconstructing the newspaper and creating an architecture of information. I paint the sheets with green clothes die and fluorescent pink paint. Highlighting the articles that catch my attention with fluorescent paint is the way in which I render my own irrationality in the way in which I understand the world. I scan the articles that I have previously highlighted and project them onto a wall covered in the history of Wikileaks. I hang the prepainted sheets of paper to dry from a drawing-ceiling that I have created with ribbon. Through this process the studio is changing every day, therefore it becomes an architecture of information that changes with the passing of time, day by day; this is why the installation is called time capsule.

I appreciate the attempt. At the same time, this video needs editing badly. I would have liked to actually SEE the pieces, rather than zooming in and out with a shaky camera.

    Good try, though.
