Commencement at the University of Utah celebrates many things -- it's the culmination of time well spent...of hard work, perseverance, and the realization of a lifelong dream.

But it also serves as a launching pad to something bigger, better, and brighter...new beginnings and endless possibilities.

First Imagine. Then Do. In the classroom, the lab, in internships, and study abroad programs -- it's all part of the story that led the Class of 2013 to this final stage.

Noah Harper, a University of Utah grad student in biology, describes how his experiences at the U relate to his nonprofit, Benefit El Salvador, an organization that assists medical clinics in rural El Salvador.

The University of Utah celebrated Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King's life and legacy with its annual MLK Week Celebration. This year's events included a "marade" (march/parade), panel speakers, spoken word and a keynote address by Rev. Jesse Jackson.
