  1. On July 1, 2011, it became official: The University of Utah is a member of the Pac–12 Conference. To commemorate such an honor, the state of Utah declared the date Pac-12 Day with a ceremony on the Capitol steps. Dignitaries from across the state and nation, including Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott, were on hand with the U of U faithful to ring in the momentous occasion.

  3. The latest animated shorts and video games by students from the U's Entertainment Arts & Engineering program were on display at the third annual "EAE Day."
