  1. New tune from Moses Atwood MosesAtwood.com
myspace.com/MosesAtwood played on the show Friday (march 7th 2008) along with Dana Gross, Samuel James & Tret Fure. T'was a busy day @ WMPG.
Dana (who's tape will be up soon) & Moses played a gig this same evening here in town and the following night they both did duets with Samuel James at the early release of Samuel James CD release , so there was great energy in the air.
early on i use a tad of the camera sound, for the most part it is not on 90%+ of the most of the sound is soundboard out (what the audience heard) synched to clip, & posted with the permission of the artist.
Here's two more clips from Moses; vimeo.com/128001
    and here; vimeo.com/127976

Moses is incredibly gifted as a player, performer & writer, if should you have the chance to see him his live sets are
    amazing often poignant content.
Moses flew up from Ashville NC where he's been spending time these days, especially to take part in Samuel James CD Release party.

  2. Well, actually, three quarters of them came down to the studio : Odd how things can happen on (Live) community radio, today was an unusual mix, lots of new material to air and then the phone rings while doing the show, first guest is running late, ,,on the phone it's Jazer, a member of this quartet out of the Amhearst, Mass music scene, He asks "Hi Would it be possible for you to announce our gig tonight on the air?"

Me thinks for a bit "Why, sure!"

    ,,"Where 'you playing?"
Somehow I discover they are staying with a musician friend and past guest on the show,, so I just say "Well can you be here and play on the air, in like 45 minutes?" (really)

They came down they did one track a new song not on their latest recording .
myspace.com/rustybelle they have some New England shows to checkout this weekend
    (Yo Bostonites!)

The Players are; Matt Lorenz guitar vox, Jazer Giles accordion, Zak Trojano lead slide guitar, missing from this morning's short set on the radio is singer Kate Lorenz

  3. Another track from Christopher Teret (his earlier one; vimeo.com/713124 ) a guest on the show recently. This track was on his recording that I previewed and had asked him to do live.
He prefaced the song by saying that he found a lot of people had responded to it and those close to him had said " Hey man did you write that about me?" like some of his close pals, his brother, & I could see why, the lyrics again grab me as well, I see what they mean.
The underlying melody fingerpicked on that sweet(free) parlor guitar makes it (for me a great song).

I really appreciate his ease & execution of the tune,
says he has many many tunes to share.
more next time site & mysspace soon.

  4. Local Portland, Maine song writer (& Baltimore native) plays on this past Friday's show . I love his writing. That parlor guitar sounds phenomenal,, likely you'd flip to find it was salvaged from a pile of discarded household items by his sister & handed to him the sound defies the price paid!.
Christopher's lyrics always have me wondering; what lyrical gem he will cast into his songs next. I think this guy's got serious Juju. FLICKR SET; snipurl.com/ctd3_c_teret

Christopher Teret's other track (here on vimeo) " Deliver Me" = vimeo.com/718442 also a mighty gem of effortless ease and simplistic mastery of his craft.

This tune "You Don't Believe it's True" I first heard on a 17 track disc he put out with his brother Walker; the disc is called "Little Guys" mostly original tunes. They do some covers of some old timey songs, but his songs won out each time, sure you do old timey classic/vintage gems to develope one's chops but when your tunes equal or surpass some of those tunes I found myself wanting to hear this excellent word smith/guitarist do his own work over "those classic old timey tracks", the simplicity of his lyrics & song structure and arrangements have an old , lived in feel to them. I know this guy's work will touch a lot of ears.

  5. Megan Jo Wilson's other tune was this one "After All"
This track is one that is a solid cut of hers. vimeo.com/619469 was uploaded just before this one & is from the same appearance

This is also one of the tracks on her My Space page & has somewhat more of a fleshed out feel to it.
