Vintage Flying Museum

  1. FIFI goes flying on Thursday. See how long it takes to park that massive bomber in the B-29 hangar. Then watch how relatively easy it is to park the much smaller B-25. (seems the sound didn't come over on the B-29 move)

  3. Thanks to all the dedicated and EXTREMELY hard working volunteers, Chuckie started and ran all four engines today 7/18/2010. This short is after the initial start which took about an hour for all four. I'll post that later. Left channel is Patrick Mahaffey and Steve Swift in the cockpit, and right channel is the camera mic ambient sound.

  4. Major General Thomas Sadler, USAF (ret) took time out from his busy schedule at the Texas Motor Speedway on Friday and visited the Vintage Flying Museum. He was a gunner and togglier (bombardier) on B-17's in WWII. Watch and listen as he reminisces with some of us from the museum who took our lunch hour to meet with him. Many thanks to Nessi Jimenez for arranging this!!

  5. This was a ride for a still photographer, Jim Wilson, so I was a distant second chair. However I got a few decent shots despite the fact that I didn't bring a steadicam rig. Since there's no audio worth hearing in flight I pulled it and put in some jazz from my music library. This got extensively re-edited since the first posting, to make it more coherent and shorten the time.
