VIS Vienna Independent Shorts is the largest international short film festival in Austria. It takes place in Vienna. The year 2012 brings the 9th festival edition.
The festival has two international competitions, "Fiction and Documentary" and "Animation Avantgarde", and also a national competition for short films. These sections are supplemented by numerous special and guest programmes.
