West Denver Prep is a local network of college-prep charter schools and is part of the Denver Public Schools (DPS) system. As public charter schools, our schools are tuition-free and open to all students-- selecting them either by lottery or neighborhood admissions, with no review of grades, test scores, or past academic experience. Across the network, 90% of our 1,115 students are eligible for free/reduced lunch and 96% are students of color.
Founded in 2005, West Denver Prep schools have gained a national reputation for strong school culture and excellent outcomes for kids. In the first year of replication to a second school, West Denver Prep’s two schools ranked 1 and 2 for overall performance among all DPS secondary schools on the district's School Performance Framework. In year two of replication, with two more middle schools opened, West Denver Prep has 4 of the top 5 secondary schools on the 2011 DPS School Performance Framework.

CIHAD works diligently with its "Dreamers" on navigating these issues and helps them to build the life-skills and educational foundation they need to go on to college and future success.
