"When the suburban white girls are getting you down... just put on another hip hop record...." Written by David Heatley when he was 19, remixed and re-recorded last year as part of his "My Brain is Hanging Upside Down" EP (available on iTunes), this song is an anthem of uncomfortable truth, complex parody, and heartfelt angst. Featuring DJ Big Wiz on scratches, Rachel Robinson on voice over, Tom Haslow on guitars, Jeremy Broomfield on "cello," and produced by Peter Wade. Video directed by Morgan K. Nichols.
