World HD

During Sunday the 10th of October 2010, I participated in a global project to document our world on that day. Called "One Day On Earth", it was intended to feature images of our world from each individual film maker's perspective, be they amateur or professional.

My contribution to this project was to film a short series of images showcasing things that made my home "unique" in the world on that day. This short film is my final representation of the filming work I undertook on 10.10.10.

Sharanya and Abhijat are fellows with Teach For India (TFI). This piece gives a first hand account of Sharanya's and Abhijat's fascinating journey of teaching underprivileged children in the slums of Mumbai over the past 2 years. The transformational experiences that Teach For India provides to both - the fellows and their students, inspired us to document their stories over a few days in Mumbai, earlier this year.
