This CG animation was produced for the charity 'African Parks Network' and was Directed by Matthew Hoad-Robson.
My wife Linda did an amazing job in Photoshop with the ultra hi-res textures of the African continent. I built, animated and lit the entire piece myself using 3ds Max and Mental Ray with Vue 6 Infinite for the Wildebeest landscape shot. My good friend Mark Dodwell kindly rigged the model of the Wildebeest for me as a favor.
We think Dinosaurs are cool. So we decided to make one.

National Geographic "Rajasaurus test"
I Developed all process of this crazy test shot and this take me only two weeks. lowpoly/hipoly Modeling and unwrapping, sculpting with mudbox, texturing, lighting and simulate the environment wit a "gobo"for the shadow trees. The rigging is pretty easy with no more controls, and 27 morph targets for subtle details like breathing, blinking, ect.
For the animation test im trying to show the rajasaurus in in their wild…
And this is the video of the making.Enjoy.

A paleontologist shows a tourist a paleontology site. The tourist is surprised by the site, and uses his camera to take a photo. The tourist photo of the site captures the lost world.

Just think about it… What if you were trapped under something heavy and the mouse was out of your reach? Scary, right? That's exactly why we have these keyboard shortcuts so you can still use Vimeo until the help arrives.
