IHEARTCOMIX and Media Contender have joined forces to revive the Check Yo Ponytail legacy. CYP2, as it is called today, has already been making waves in both the local and national press. With consistent features in the LA Weekly and LA Record, and global exposure from media outlets SPIN, Filter, Pitchfork, Huffington Post, and Time.com, CYP2 has reclaimed its place as the go-to event for new and exciting artists from the world around. Staying true to the original precedent of open-format, open-genre ideals, CYP2 has already featured many breakthrough performances from rising and noteworthy artists such as Yelawolf, Blonde Redhead, Andrew W.K., Wavves, Naked & Famous, Drop The Lime, and Das Racist to name a few.
