Christabel Samuel is a self-taught writer, director and editor from London.
Making her breakthrough in 2011 she won funding via the DocNext scheme, shooting her first documentary Lust in Translation which went on to be screened twice at the BFI, selected to be screened at the East End Film Festival and in the Netherlands as part of HollandDoc.
Before the age of 25 Christabel has been junior judge at the prestigious London Film Festival, Film editor-in-chief for The Book magazine and collaborated with various social enterprises.
