"Our collaboration allows us to merge our observations, experiences, and passions into a synergistic creation; building sculptural environments that envelop the viewer in moving-image, sound and scent. We distill aspects of science, the environment and specific locations, use the essence as art material, and then connect back to the local community while reflecting wider global concerns."
Ginger Andro- "My work as a painter was transformed by an obsession with reflection.
I began including mirrored shards in my paintings, and 2-D work evolved into 3-dimensional painted canvases. Later, I constructed boxed environments where reflection became integral to the sculpted forms of manipulated mirrored Plexiglas, paint, and paper.
My experiences with painting, sculpture, natural perfumery, fabrication, and mural restoration are a direct result of my desire to acquire the skills necessary to make my art, to communicate my vision, and to explore my latest obsession."
Ginger Andro studied painting with Alan Siegel and sculpture with Vyto Kasuba. She continued study at The School of Visual Arts, Parsons, and the New School in New York.
She was the gallery director at East Coast Arts and curator/cofounder of Group 29 in NYC.
Her teaching experience includes: The College of Mt. St. Vincent, Seton Academy, The Old Church Cultural Center, and St.Thomas Aquinas College.
Chuck Glicksman- “Projected images and sound have been central to my passion for and my desire to make art. From my early film work,
I began experimenting with projecting automatic drawings and incorporating those projections into paintings. I also worked on multi-media productions and eventually was producing and directing large-scale theatrical and media events. Drawing from these experiences and using them in my current work have been exhilarating. I have not only found a deep connection to my art, but also with our collaboration, learned to make magic as well."
Chuck Glicksman studied with Ken Jacobs, Saul Levine and Larry Gottheim
at The State University of New York at Binghamton, BA cinematography.
He studied sculpture with Nat Kaz at the Arts Students League,
and continued study at School of Visual Arts and Parsons.
Co-founder of Group 29
