At only 23, Cody Blue Snider is an international award winning filmmaker, acclaimed music video director, and full time soccer mom.
Born in New York, he was raised by Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider, and a small pack of stray cats. As a baby, Cody developed a passion for sewing. His uncle, Mittens, condemned Snider’s passion and cast him out of the pack. Banished, homeless and alone, he turned to movies for comfort. A time-lapse shot of Cody watching movies everyday, all day, for years would be appropriate here. Then one day, at the end of the time-lapse, Snider found an ancient mini DV camcorder in a dumpster. He sold all 9 of his toes on the black market to repair the camera and shoot his very first film Lakota, earning him a scholarship to the School Of Visual Arts in Manhattan.
After only a semester, he was sadly forced to drop out, fleeing the state upon killing a hooker. Pitying his misfortunes, Writer/Director Adam Green took him under his wing, giving him a job as the set fluffer on his Sundance selected film, Frozen. Snider returned to New York and swore a blood oath to one day earn back the respect of his Uncle Mittens by becoming one of the great Auteurs of his generation. At 19, Snider directed, edited, and wrote his debut short drama All That Remains, winning awards internationally. The film’s success propelled him into professionally directing music videos; where he’s received critical acclaim, millions of views online, and the occasional Face book message from 14 year olds living in the Midwest. The premiere of his debut music video for Motionless In White was “one of the biggest online music events of the year (2011).” His works been repeatedly hailed as one of the year’s best metal videos by AOL Noise Creep, Fearnet, Revolver magazine, Kerrang and Good House Keeping. All this, and still not one fucking phone call from Uncle Mittens.
Snider is managed at Circle Of Confusion. He is currently writing two feature screenplays, premiering his irreverent short comedy Fool's Day at the Tribeca Film Festival, directing music videos, and mastering the majestic art of Bocce ball.
