Colm O’Molloy is a multi-platform journalist from Ireland. He currently works as a freelance shoot-edit, producer and video journalist for BBC News in Washington DC. Colm is interested in storytelling that tackles the relationships between environmental degradation and change, conflict and the implications for developing countries of an increasingly globalised economy. He has lived and worked in a number of countries across Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and West Africa. His work has appeared in a variety of publications, including The Guardian, BBC News, Foreign Policy, The Boston Globe, Time, ABC News and NBC News. Colm is a graduate of the Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism at Columbia University in New York and Trinity College Dublin, where he studied Spanish and Latin American literature.
