Colourmovie is a motion design and live-action studio made up of
designer/directors driven by two simple principles: beauty and story. Through the integration of graphic design and filmmaking, Colourmovie engages and connects with the audience to create meaningful short films, commercials, title sequences, interactive projects, cross-platform campaigns and original content.

In a time when most motion design shops have transformed into animation studios, digital agencies, or traditional visual effects houses, Colourmovie has honed its focus, keeping the hand-crafted aspect of design in motion design. Neither a post house, nor solely a visual effects house, the Colourmovie process is simply to employ the relevant disciplines of design, branding, filmmaking, and visual effects that best serve the idea at hand.

Colourmovie is located in Hollywood California and was founded in 2000 by creative directors Brandon Martinez and Michelle Hammond. The studio's namesake derives from a box of super 8 film, the original medium for many early Colourmovie projects. Colourmovie has built an in-house team of designers, directors, animators and producers that together strive to produce innovative work that is both compelling and beautiful. The studio has created award-winning projects for a clientele that includes HBO, Discovery, Bravo, NBC, The CW, Microsoft, T-Mobile, Nike, Sony, and the Viceroy Hotel Group.
