Growing up in Edinburgh, he was always surrounded by the Arts and was absorbed by its Festival Fringe from an early age.
Between School and University he worked for a residential letting and management company, completed a Ski Instructors course in Canada and spent time in the Philippines.
In Leeds at University he developed a keen interest in the Music Industry, while continuing to return to Edinburgh in the summers to work at the Fringe.
Studying Politics gave him angles to approach work in a research based format. Then after a work placement at the Scottish Parliament, he wrote a dissertation on Scotland and its relationship with the European Union.
In his final few months at University he started his own company 'Comgreat'. This alongside working for Defected Records in London, further surrounded him with creative and talented people.
Over the past few years he has become increasing involved with the event producers behind TED Conferences - so far working on TEDGlobal 2011, TEDGlobal 2012 and TED 2013.
