Copenhagen Bombay was founded in 2006 by film director Anders Morgenthaler and producer Sarita Christensen. Their ambition was to create a production company and animation studio with a special focus on entertainment for children and young people.
By giving special attention to new talents and original stories the idea of the company was soon to be seen. In 2008 the film Carsten & Gitte’s Movie Madness was launched in the Danish cinemas, marking the beginning of a new approach, and the beginning of Copenhagen Bombay’s first original brand. Since then they have established themselves with international successes, such as 'The Apple and The Worm' and most recently the satirical animated series, 'the Pandas'
Today Copenhagen Bombay’s projects are to be found in the cinemas, on TV, in bookstores, on DVD’s and on the web, and the list of new strong brands is continually expanding.
