Craig Quat began his career at age 15 as a volunteer instructor with the nonprofit group Juggling Life Inc. He was Awarded the first recipient of the Juggling Life Heroes Award and served as the program's assistant director for several years.
Curious in exploring broader applications of juggling, he branched out in 2010 to form his own program, Band of Jugglers. Starting his work in deaf communities, he quickly discovered numerous applications and practices that rapidly launched his career into clinical settings serving broader populations of "special needs" and physically "disabled" groups. The accommodating solutions of his redesigned mediums challenge conventional perceptions of what juggling, have shattered the boundaries of accessibility, and launched entire new fields of therapeutic circus practices. His innovative equipment and philosophy seeks to redefine the meaning of juggling through exploration and pursuit of the most reduced and simplified expressions of juggling available to his imagination.
