Set up in July 2008 with the aim of producing, supporting and spreading culture inside and outside Brazil, Cria da Casa Cultural Productions supports initiatives by individual artists, takes art to events and advertising campaigns, and develops its own cultural projects. A Cria da Casa Works in the following areas:
• Management of dance companies, productions and shows. Among the companies it represents are J.Gar.Cia Contemporary Dance, Abieié Dance Company; GRUA-Gentlemen de Rua, [Street Gentlemen], and the company of the choreographer Jean Abreu, resident in London, in addition to artists and companies that work in partnership inside Brazil and abroad;
• Creation and production of authorial cultural projects (shows, books, videos/films/documentaries, etc.);
• Executive production, artistic direction, scenography, casting, and direction of the cast of films and shows;
• Cultural publicity of projects, events and artists;
• Contact with sponsors to make musical, dance, theatre, cinema, literature and visual arts projects viable.
