CYD to Poznan
The Canadian Youth Delegation is a project of the Canadian Youth Climate Coalition, a united front of youth demanding stronger action on climate change. Canadian youth have been participating in the international process since the very first COP in 1995 which established the Berlin Mandate.1 Since COP 11, in Montreal, 2005, Canadian youth have become increasingly organized and have played a significant role in bringing youth perspectives to the international stage. The conference in Poznan, Poland is a critical meeting where negotiators will build on the Bali Action Plan and work to establish a new global agreement for the post-2012 period (after the first phase of the Kyoto Protocol expires)
