I have startet a new project called "ambientscreen".
Prefix:
Our home environment has now more and more and bigger screens. When they are switched off - they look boring.
But how to fill them with beautiful pictures? we have fishes, fireplaces and all that stuff. But these are for following the content. I wonder if there would be different motives and movies like pictures on the wall. Remember the old oil paintings ? We had two main categories: portraits, and landscapes. Portraits are now used with personalised content on your digital picture frame and screensavers, backgrounds etc. So what about landscapes ? I could imagine awful landscapes as HD video but with single shots more than 15 minutes and less movements (and no camera movements or zooms) with soft fading for harmonisation of rooms.
Here you will find my first experiments, which will be uploaded soon. Please feel free to experiment with that and answer with your own "ambientscreens". Oh and I think sound should be switched off. I guess we would like to set our own music to it... for the moment.
What do you think ?
greetings,
Hardy
