The road between joy, melancholy, and rock n roll is a well documented path and one that can be traveled many times over. Without reinventing the wheel, Dad's LPs from Northern California offer their fresh take on the bridge between these themes with songs that range from high energy exaltations to moody distorted rants about love, loss, angst, support, and second chances. All under the watch of John Morales on lead vocals and drums and Jay Seals on guitar, the two started collaborating in the beginning of 2011 with Jay traveling from South Lake Tahoe to John's backroom studio in Sacramento. Along the way, Chris Gene from Sacramento sought to get in the mix on bass and vocals and Andrew Harris from Berkeley rounded out the line-up on lead guitar. Although a new band, the members come from the respected groups Blue Turtle Seduction, Ten Mile Tide, 2Me, and Blue Street Junction and are veterans of the underground west coast music scene, having thousands of shows and a dozen albums under their collective belts.
