Dance Films Association, a non profit founded in 1956 by Susan Braun, is dedicated to furthering the art of dance film. Connecting artists and organizations, fostering new works for new audiences, and sharing essential resources, DFA seeks to be a catalyst for innovation in and preservation of dance on camera. Dance on Camera Festival was initiated in 1971 by Dance Films Association with the Film Society of Lincoln Center joining as festival co-producer in 1996.
