Dan Simon grew up in a creative family in New York City. His father, Roger Hendricks Simon, is a renown acting teacher, actor and director and his mother, Sarah Levine Simon, is an opera singer, voice teacher and writer.
He started acting and making movies as a child.
Since then he has directed, written, shot and edited dozens of shorts, commercials, music videos and industrials. Dan's work has premiered at the Newport Beach Film Festival, The Australian International Film Festival, Connecticut Film Festival, Iron Mule Film Festival, Staten Island Film Festival and Garden State Film Festival.
He has starred opposite 2 time Oscar nominated actress Viola Davis and Tony nominated actor Mario Cantone. His feature acting credits include Revolution #9, The End of the Bar, The Sublet, Staten Island and The Indigo Condition. Dan is currently developing a feature comedy and
a TV show, both shooting in New York.
