Who am I? That's a good question...
Well, I am a crazy musician and telecommunication engineer above all. My thesis was about digital filters for audio applications and everything I learnt at the University I try to make it suitable for my own world.
I started in my home town's music school at the age of 8, and the classic guitar was my first love. Still, my guitar takes big room in my heart, but it is not the only one, my synthesizers and other MIDI controls and music gadgets are taking control of my space. In fact, my girlfriend is becoming really jelous.
The crazyness about music it is as big as my madness about technology, and as an engineer I could not live without having electronic circuits surrounding me. These noisy circuits are jamming my brain and as a consecuence, more than 10 years ago (yeah, I was very young!) I started to make my own electronic music. Well, firstly it was more pop style and really crapy, by the way :D. Of course, I won't let you listen to those songs.
But anyway, I had to start at one point so I could evolve, everybody has a dark, shady and obscure past.
I finished university, I graduated... so what now? what do I do? Am I a society parasite? Well... that is also a good question. Right now I kind of parasite and hardworker. Why is that? Currently I take part in the Digital Audio Group of Universidad of Zaragoza, researching "full time". My work consist of designing a good tool for digital filter validation in the scope of professional audio, i.e. big concerts and high-end equipment. I also designed the crossover filters used in that tool. That's the hard part.
The parasite part is... I do not know!! but I feel it... hehe.
As a music producer I played with miscelaneous genres: I had a small affair with house, the break beat was a longer story, also I made a couple of hip-hop songs which I have a weakness for. But now, my electronic production is being condensating in a harder and more hardcore style, Drum and Bass.
Speaking about live performances, let me tell you the truth, I did a lot in classical music, but no so many in electronic gigs. With these ones I reconstruct my themes and remixes with a little bit of originality, mixing machines, synths and computers strength with tangible instruments, guitars and voice (yes.. I sing... when I was a kid I recorded 2 CD with local groups, no comments xD).
I always want more, want to experiment and so I did. In the last two performances I used the Wiimote as a musical instrument, with scripts made by me and some stuff borrowed from the great community of wiili.org
