David Collins is a composer of electroacoustic and instrumental music and an improvisor of both saxophone and laptop electronics. He received his earlier education at the College of Santa Fe in New Mexico and the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. He completed his BFA in Composition and Technology at UW-Milwaukee’s Peck School of the Arts with High Honors. David was also a dedicated private music instructor in the Milwaukee area for over 10 years. He has been involved with choreographers from the Milwaukee area, Danceworks Inc, Great Lakes Improvising Orchestra (saxophone), Milwaukee Laptop Orchestra (saxophone and laptop), and collaborations with independent artists such as: Sean Behling, Christopher Burns, Michael Kettler, Jeff Klatt, Adam Murphy , Steve Nelson-Raney, Trevor Saint, Kevin Schlei, Steve Schlei, Amanda Schoofs, Greg Surges and Seth Warren-Crow.
