David J. MacNeil was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. He has appeared on television series including A & E's Breakout Kings, Nikita, The Transporter, Mutant X, 72 Hours: True Crime, Jeff Ltd., ‘Til Death Do Us Part, and as a series regular on CBC's The X for two seasons. David's film credits include Do or Die, Deathlands, and the Superman biopic, Hollywoodland. He has also appeared in over sixty television commercials.

Over the years, David has studied acting and improv with such respected organizations as The Second City, Carter Thor Studios, Theatresports, and The Actor’s Workshop. David earned a Bachelor degree from The University of Ottawa, with a specialization in Theatre & Communications; and a diploma in Television Broadcasting from Algonquin College.

An accomplished producer and an award winning writer; David has won two Promax North America Awards for television ad writing.

David resides in Toronto. When Dave isn’t flexing his creative muscles, he can usually be found tearing up the open road on his motorcycle.
