Born in Glasgow to Hong Kong Chinese parents. David has the visual experience of kinetic Asia. And can balance it with a European flavour.

Studied in London, worked in UK. Plus living & filming in Romania for 3 years has diversified David's sense of lighting and creativity.

Can give a Natural look or something more Stylised, depending on the project.

For commercials worked with agencies McCann Erickson, Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB, Ogilvy, Family.
For clients Sony, Vodafone, Mountain Dew...

Before going full time as a cinematographer, camera assisted for dop's such as Barry Ackroyd BSC, Alwin Kuchler BSC and directors Ken Loach, John Madden, Dominic Savage.

Studied 'Contemporary Media Practice' 2001, at University of Westminster, specialising in Cinematography.

Through a meeting with London/Romanian director (WeAreOm.com) David got himself a one way ticket to Bucharest and lived in Romania for 3 years filming many various projects.

Film "Waste", starring Berlinale Shooting Star Ana Ularu, is starting it's Festival run. Beginning in Geneva at the Festival Tous Ecrans.

Film "Red" nominated for Limelight Award, London, 2012

Feature for HBO "The Shukar Collective Project", about naturally gifted Roma Gypsy singers fusing with Electronica music producers. Nominated for Best International film at Trieste Film Festival. And nominated for Best film at Gopo Awards

Project "Chop Cup" has over 1.6 million hits on Vimeo and featured in OneDotZero Festival.

Personal project ''Experimental Japan'' aired on Norwegian TV (NRK) 2011
