4 weeks agoSean McHenry commented on ZIPPOAs for me, the guys don't have to be looking at each other, they are talking to each other. Actually what I get from it, the older gentleman would be speaking whether or not the other one had been asking questions prompting him or not. Consider it a confessional or perhaps just a way of creating tension in the frame. In any case, I like it and as the creator you are not obligated to explain your reasons for doing anything. It is concept from your minds projector. If you follow your initial vision and create it the way it feels right to you, what more do you want? If on the other hand you want to go and be a Hollywood type, rules are indeed important. I opt out of the Hollywood stuff myself. These small well done pieces say much more to me than any blockbuster 3D animated CGI work ever will. I would ask that you reconsider using "film effects" type grunge. It's too clean otherwise (no grain and the color curves are too sharp to be film so either consider using film for authenticity or consider using the film grunge stuff very delicately.
I may not know anything about art, but I know what I like. Carry on. -
