Looks like "DSLR Films Galore" is trolling here as well.

Why so hostile "DSLR Films Galore"? Sandro made a beautiful film...you don't seem to have made anything...

Deep Roots Media - Dane Henry commented on WHY - Nikon D4 Release Video

    Thanks Valery!

I just wrote most of this in a comments above but I think alot of it applies to your inquiries.

-"it would seem that you are ignoring posts that are more sceptical"
That is not any of our intentions. We have all been very busy the last few weeks. But this was not a video feature test, Corey was asked to make a film using prototype D4 cameras, with no confirmed spec sheet, we had never even held them before we got to our first location in Mexico. We did not have time to do any "proper" testing with cameras, and that was not the job we were there to do, so it's a little hard to comment with certainty to some of the questions people have asked.

It's important to note, We were working with pre-production prototypes, so we don't even really know what the finished product will be.

From what I saw the camera seemed to have aliasing and moire much more under control than any other DSLR I've worked with. In fact after working with the footage for 2 weeks in post I didn't notice any objectionable aliasing, although we weren't shooting in locations that were really bad for aliasing (lots of horizontal lines & detail). Moire seemed to be on par with a sony f3, all these cameras have a bit of it, but it was under control from what I saw. I was also impressed with the less rolling shutter issues, they must have bumped the read speed off the sensor (I'd say it seemed better than even the d7000)

"But everything you did could be done with, say, maybe a D7000 or a GH2 for sure."
Agreed, to an extent... :) ....The camera has addressed many of the issues the DSLR camera operators have been asking/screaming to get resolved, both of which plague the GH2 & D7000. Hands on working with the D4 is a pleasure compared to those cameras. What this film does show is that you can go out and make a high quality film with the D4, with your choice of FF & DX Nikkor glass. Plain as that.

"So techy questions remain shrouded in mystery - and these are the things which would make or break this camera as a video tool."
The whole crew is excited to see the D4 release, I'm sure there will be plenty of people filming test charts and color chips to answer those questions once the cam is out in the wild. I know Corey will be getting a D4, who knows maybe he will be the guy to do it! :)

    Thanks again for your comment.
