As a Christian, I am passionate about seeing technology used to improve lives. Many ethnic groups around the world have no written alphabet or dictionary of their language. This makes it difficult for them to pursue their social, cultural, political, economic and spiritual goals without sacrificing their God-given ethnolinguistic identity. My role as a member of SIL International is to apply technology to language development work to assist these communities in achieving these goals.
My family and I worked in Africa for 17 years, specializing in the Fulfulde language where we were involved in language development work, including the translation of the New Testament.
Web development started as a hobby, but now is a lot of what I do, using Drupal to build websites.
