Dick Walton Plus
Howdy – I am a teacher, writer, and videographer with a passion for
the natural places and critters of North and Central America. While my earliest focus was on birds I soon took an interest in insects. In fact work with butterflies led to my introduction to videography. While video as a learning and teaching tool has been a constant, the natural history of dragonflies, solitary wasps, and jumping spiders have all captured my attention. I co-authored the Peterson Field Guide Series Birding by Ear series with Bob Lawson and along with Lincoln Brower I direct the Monarch Monitoring Project, a research and educational program of New Jersey Audubon’s Cape May Bird Observatory. For details see my website.
