His most recent editorial accomplishment, which earned him his first Professional Screenwriter credit, is the critically acclaimed documentary + television mini-series "Icons Among Us: Jazz In The Present Tense". A project that has rocked the film and music industry, and is currently on a world tour through the American Film Institute as an acclaimed example of American film excellence for 2010.
His Emmy nominated editorial projects has been featured on ESPN, NFL Network, HBO, BET, SITV and more. Notable clients include: Warner Bros. Records, Overbrook Entertainment (Will, Jaden, & Willow Smith with Justin Beiber), Simmons - Lathan and NBC-TV Networks.
Residing in Los Angeles, California but strongly tethered to Detroit, Atlanta, NYC & Paris, France; Kristian is simultaneously leading on three new documentaries: “The Hallelujah Train” with world-renowned jazz drummer Brian Blade; “Black Women Rock: A Tribute to Betty Davis” with poet/activist Jessica Care Moore; and his passion project and directorial debut, “The Detroit Sound Project.”
