The festival reflects on the agency of contemporary sound creation within the cultural fabric of society and its technological and social transformations, and explores its intersections with other art forms and cultural fields.

DISK – Initiative Bild & Ton Berlin

DISK Berlin aims to support and promote the production and diffusion of experimental sound art, innovative music and visual arts. Two major issues on the DISK agenda are: Projects and research about the correlation of sound and moving image and to foster international exchange between artists, initiatives and organisations. DISK Berlin is the organizational body behind the CTM Festival.
