DJ Autograph’s interest in music began at an early age. He grew up in Jamaica and spent much of his youth learning how to play different musical instruments such as the drums, piano and the guitar. During high school, he attended a party and the DJ’s performance caught his attention. A passion for DJing was ignited. He wasted no time. He picked up his first set of records the next day and DJ Autograph was born.

In 1999, DJ Autograph relocated to the United States to attend college. Transitioning to American DJ culture was difficult but Autograph persevered. With the help of friend and mentor DJ Playtime, he was able to learn and master the art of versatility: being able to cater to the taste of diverse audiences. After graduation, DJ Autograph moved to New York City and continued working as a DJ. Networking in NYC led to a chance meeting with famous HOT 97 DJ, Cipha Sounds. The meeting turned into a two-year stint working with him, rocking various venues around the tri-state area…even as DJ Autograph maintained monthly residences in Philadelphia. Currently, Autograph maintains two residences in NYC: Brand New Machine (the NYC leg) with Max Glazer (Thursday) and every other Saturday at the Happy Ending Lounge. He has also performed on the international stage DJing in Czech Republic (Chapeau Rouge in Prague), Sweden (Slakthuset in Stockholm, Klubb Vardagsrummet in Stockholm, Plock in Uppsala & Hamnplan 5 on Gotland) and in Jamaica (Fiction Nightclub in Kingston, Bluebeat in Montego Bay & The Boardwalk Village in Negril).



In his 17-year career, DJ Autograph has worked with many DJs such as Funkmaster Flex, Kid Capri, Max Glazer, Craig G, DJ Playtime, and Spinbad to name a few. He has kept up with industry innovations – the latest being video DJing. Being a VJ allows Autograph to stimulate audiences in yet another way. He was resident VJ at The Village Pourhouse in Hoboken, NJ, spinning videos every Friday and Saturday night. He also does regular VJ sets that are available online. With his Jamaican foundation, American influence, and deep love for all genres of music, DJ Autograph prides himself on taking his audiences on a musical journey every time he touches the turntables.
