On any given night throughout the San Francisco - Bay Area Deft can be found executing his craft on eager ears and feet. Part of his allure as a dj is that he is extremely adaptable to any situation and crowd and well armed with keen music knowledge and understanding as well as impeccable timing. So rather than limiting himself to any one specific genre Deft allows his listeners ears, minds and feet to travel to far flung places. Whether it is Top 40, Dancehall, Electro, or a Hip Hop nightclub or lounge, just about anywhere he is comfortably in the pocket.

The youngest son of a famous 70s drummer who played with the likes of Sly & The Family Stone, Santana, & Bobby Freeman. Deft was exposed to a variety of different music genres that would later influence his versatility & unique style.

Following his dreams of becoming a working DJ in the mid 90s proved to be harder in the Bay Area as the market was submerged with talent from around the world, all pursuing the same dream. With persistence & constant networking, Deft steadily broke his way into the San Francisco club scene & excelled quickly. People took notice, and the gigs were beginning to be plentiful. The rest, as they say, is history

Deft has held residencies and gigs at some of the Bay Areas hottest parties and swankiest lounges; Whisper, Club NV, Sound Factory, Plush, City Nights, Cat Club,1015 Folsom, Suede, Mezzanine, Jillians, Mission Rock, Space 550, Boss,Fluid, Suite 181, Dolce, The Cellar, Glas Kat, 330 Ritch, Club 6, & The Endup.

Out of town; Ibiza (Oakland), Sweet Jimmies (Oakland), Mingles (Oakland), Spin Ultralounge (Walnut Creek), Toons (San Jose), Ambassador Lounge (San Jose), The Beehive (San Jose), Yacht Club (Sonoma), Pipeline (Honolulu), Wave Waikiki (Honolulu), & 1st Fridays (Hollywood)
