When it comes to moving the crowd DJ Hell Rell is truly one of the best in the business!!! His musical preference is as eclectic as the city he comes from, and he prides himself on being a self taught mix master. Living the hard knock life on the streets of San Francisco, music is what kept Hell Rell engaged as a teenager. Back in those days he would immerse himself in crate upon crate of classic records, which fueled his love for everything from hip hop, to electronic dance music, to jazz. As the legend goes Hell Rell got into the business by accident. Although let him tell it, being a famous DJ was spoken into his life long before the dream was realized.
This renowned celebrity DJ holds the title "King of the Strip Clubs". He was given the nod five years in a row by SF Weekly. The recognition began when he was Willie Davis, club manager. As fate would have it one night the DJ didn’t show and he had to step in. The rest of the story is pretty much history. Hell Rell admits to starting out as a “push button” DJ, but his desire to be great was so strong that he taught himself how to mix during down time in the clubs. He would create these original exotic mixes of euphoric electronic dance music and soon found himself not only being the resident DJ of some of the Bay Area’s hottest strip clubs, but he created a huge buzz for himself that has catapulted his career.
Being the versatile disc jockey that he is, the transition from the strip club world to the Bay Area DJ scene was natural. He’s DJ’d for the who’s who of the Bay including Too Short, E-40, IAMSU, Sage the Gemini, John Hart, Adrian Marcel and a host of others. Hell Rell has also produced two internet radio shows, adding to his industry resume. Mainstream artists from varying regions across the country have taken notice of his talent and have made him their DJ of choice. He’s worked with Webbie, Nelly, YG, 2 Chainz, Yo Gotti, Problem, and Lil Scrappy, The Migos, K Michelle, Iggy Azalea, Waka Flocka, August Alsina, Chris Brown, just to name a few. Hell Rell has rocked every possible nightclub in the Bay Area, among other hot spots in your favorite party cities including Las Vegas, Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles. You can currently catch Hell Rell raising hell on the dance floor of a celebrity party or djing at the popular strip clubs of Deja Vu where he is head dj. He also is a very popular video dj who's video mixes gave him his own tv show which airs on Comcast Cable channel 78/26 OURTV every Saturday night at 10:30 pm pst. He also makes mixes of all genres which you can hear playing in all the Shoe Palaces in Northern California.
At the end of the day the goal is to be internationally known while remaining locally accepted. Hell Rell remains one of the top DJ’s in his region.
