Originally from Detroit, DJ Jaycee is a 20-year veteran DJ who continues to make an imprint within the deejay community and music industry worldwide. Jaycee is from the breed of deejays where collecting records is a passion and perfecting cuts, blends and every kind of scratch is a daily routine. His extensive knowledge of all genres of music was established as a child and flourished, as did his passion for deejaying.

From winning battle competitions to creating a buzz throughout Atlanta’s various college radio mixshows to becoming a musical mainstay in Atlanta’s club scene by playing legendary venues such as The Warehouse, Velvet, Kaya, Esso, The Chilli Pepper, Vision and more all have helped played a crucial role in establishing Jaycee as an influential and reputable DJ. In 1995, So So Def’s DJ Nabs (Kriss Kross) consistently featured DJ Jaycee on his mixshow ‘The Thunderstorm’on Atlanta’s V-103. Being impressed with Jaycee’s versatility and presence as a deejay, V-103 hired him to host and spin on his own mixshow ‘The Late Night Mixtape’. After a brief hiatus from radio, Jaycee returned to V-103 in September of 2008 for ‘The Afternoon Delight’ mixshow. Which is hosted by Ellen Duncan and went on to be the number one rated mixshow in Atlanta.

In 2000, after witnessing DJ Jaycee displaying his musical knowledge and turntable dexterity throughout Atlanta, rapper Ludacris asked Jaycee to be his only tour DJ. Jaycee has since gone on to tour relentlessly with Ludacris around the world and shared stages with him from major tours such as Eminem’s ‘Anger Management’ Tour and Outkast’s ‘Stanklove’ Tour to prestigious award shows such as The Grammy’s, The American Music Awards, The VMA’s, The BET Awards, Top of the Pops, VH-1, Hip Hop Honors and more. He has also been on notable television shows from TRL, Saturday Night Live, 106 & Park, David Letterman, Jimmy Falon, Regis & Kelly, Trya Banks, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Carson Daily and so much more.

With the success of his career, Jaycee is still able to re-invent himself when playing the club circuit throughout the world. He is a DJ who is responsive to the crowd, yet still pushes the boundaries. Jaycee can play every kind of genre from classic rock, top 40, hip hop (old and new), reggae, electro, dance hall, old school, funk and more. Whether it is mixing on the radio, on tour with Ludacris or playing in clubs, Jaycee is undisputable the uttermost talented and versatile DJ to come out of Atlanta.
