Dog Day Films

Dog Day Films

Joined / Dublin, Ireland

From 1999-2004, Dog Day Films was a collective of likeminded juvenile teenagers whose surreal and perverse films won acclaim four years in a row at the Fresh Film Festival (freshfilmfestival.net), as well as at the Galway Film Fleadh and (for a few brief minutes on a very lousy show) on the Irish national broadcaster, RTÉ. The films explored all the traditional pre-occupations of teenage boys - from masturbation, torture and sadomasochism to homo-eroticism and Jesus.

The Dog Day Films creators have now gone their separate ways, but the films continue to haunt them.
