Doug Shear has been writing since he was ten years old and achieved his first rejection slip at the age of seventeen. Since then has published two novels: Rhubarb Culture, and American Karma – Twilight of the Marijuana Gods. His play, Saint Peter at the Gate, was produced in Toronto, Canada and Boca Raton, Florida. His writing has appeared in the Miami Herald, Shambhalla Sun, New Times and Mike Shayne Mystery Magazine. He also performs comedy routines at local clubs and events in South Florida.
