Dreamkiller, the 2009 Carolina Music Awards ROCK BAND OF THE YEAR, is a concept band that fuses rock and the idea of a rock musical and targets this towards a commercial audience. The band was founded in 2004 by professional actress/singer/model, Christy Johnson, [2010 Los Angeles Music Awards NATIONAL FEMALE VOCAL PERFORMER OF THE YEAR, 2009 Carolina Music Awards and Queen City Awards ROCK ARTIST OF THE YEAR: FEMALE] who has been featured in such films as Tobe Hooper's Mortuary, National Lampoon's Pucked, Gospell Hill, and has perfomed at Carnegie Hall as well as two international tours to Europe. Dreamkiller prides themselves on colorful lyrics that include positive themes of strength, perseverance, conquering your fears head-on, as well as pushing with no limits to accomplish your goals.
Christy has collaborated with songwriter, Mark Perry, [most recognized as Chris Daughtry’s guitarist from "Absent Element"] with whom their single, "Ragnarok", was chosen as the theme song for the award winning controversial documentary "SUPERPOWER", that signed an international distribution deal. Tian Garcia, who produced ten of the twelve songs on the first full-length also worked with Christy on the remaining songs. The band is rounded out with Jim O’Gara, Erny Galvan, and Paul Salas. Now having played the 2009 Vans Warped Tour, winning Rock Band of The Year at the 2009 Carolina Music Awards, headlining their venue at the 2010 Millennium Music Conference, releasing their full-length concept album "Sleepless Dreams" in November 2009 [for which their track, "All or Nothing" has been featured in films and soundtracks for "Rotkäppchen: Blood of Red Riding Hood" and "Hellphone"], they're quickly defining themselves on a national level.

Recently, they have written the theme song for the feature film "Eyeborgs" (starring Adrian Paul from The Highlander Series) which released in July of 2010 and Christy has been awarded NATIONAL FEMALE VOCAL PERFORMER OF THE YEAR for the 2010 LOS ANGELES MUSIC AWARDS.
