Lane County is geographically situated on the west side of Oregon, midway down the state’s coastline. Its 4,620 square miles encompass great natural beauty, ranging from the spectacular Oregon coast to the snow-capped peaks of the Cascade Mountains.
In between is the lush Willamette Valley, flanked on both sides by towering forests. The bustling Eugene-Springfield metropolitan area provides a thriving urban center for residents and visitors alike, and small towns and rural communities across the county offer home-town charm and amenities away from the city lights.
