The fastest rising star in the Entertainment Industry isn't a performer, but rather the man that pushes the performers to the forefront of the industry with his talented and innovative video directing - EDGAR MARRERA (EM to his friends). As well as being one of the most sought after directors in the business, EM has the knowledge and expertise to wear a number of different hats including: producer, editor and graphic designer.

Whether it's a music video, electronic press kit (EPK), documentary, behind the scenes presentation or TV commercial, EM has the creativity and experience to produce an entertaining piece that leaves the viewer asking for more.

Known for adding his "Magic Touch" from concept to post-production, EM has worked on a number of music videos, involving mainstream & up and coming artists, in the Spanish and American markets. The most renowned artists - including Toby Love and Baby Ranks - entrust their projects to this tireless perfectionist.

EM was born and bred in Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic. From a young age, he developed a passion for the creative - drawing, music, theater, film. After graduating from high school EM came to New York City and decided to study & try his hand at the advertising industry. After two years of studying advertising, he made the dramatic decision to become a filmmaker. The administration and instructors at the Katherine Gibbs School division of Digital media were amazed at the affinity EM showed for combining artistry and technical skill; no project/assignment was too big or too small. EM's effort brought him much-deserved recognition, including the "Best Student Music Video" award for his interpretations of Mariah Carey's, "Always Be My Baby".

A full schedule of school & work didn't keep EM from directing, producing, shooting and editing more than 20 music videos while on his path to success. All of these experiences have culminated in making him the consummate professional he is today.
