Effie Pappa
Effie Pappa was born in Igoumenitsa Thesprotias, Greece, in 1986 and studied Graphic Design at TEI of Athens, Faculty of Applied Arts & Design. Since 2008 she has been creating graphics, children’s book illustrations, web-sites as well as short animated films, music videos, commercials, educational and personal works. Her graduation short film “1,2 Million Children” has been officially selected at International Film Festivals such as 'Balkanima 2011', 'Los Angeles Greek Film Festival', 'Animest 2011' etc and won the 2nd Animation Award at 6th Animfest, 2nd Best Short Film Award at "A Film for Peace" as well as a Special Merit at EBGE Awards, 2010 and a nomination at 'Artivists, Los Angeles 2011'. She is also co-founder of “geometry”, designers' collective. Currently, she is attending her MA Course 'Directing Animation', at the National Film & Television School (NFTS).
