I am a self-employed software developer. I created my company without the assistance of any government program or grant. I am a true liberal that believe in a well regulated capitalist society where work and innovation are rewarded.

We must get away from the current policies that reward those who simply move money/capital and produce nothing tangible for our society. If this is not done we will become the same as many oligarchic societies where a few are able to accumulate wealth while the rest are left out because it is mathematically impossible to catch up.

I have a wife with Lupus. We have always had health care insurance (over 30 years). It is now impossible for her to get private insurance and as such we are in a state run high risk pool at 3X the cost.

For profit insurance companies will always find ways to deny those with previous illnesses or attempt to not pay for those currently covered. This applies to everyone including those who are under the false belief their coverage is secure. The only solution to this dilemma is a single payer health care system run by a non-profit corporation or the government (Medicare) competently where health care premiums are not relegated to high administrative costs, high executive pay, and stock holder profits that could otherwise be used for real health care.
