This was all comped in Flame. But if u wanted to do it in something like After Effects you would track something like the ball or a players waist and then attach the elements (ie paint stokes etc) to it in 3D space. There wasnt actually an wiggles to get the shake, it was a combination of the original footage being jerky (on top of being tracked around a certain object) and erratic AE camera moves. Hope this helps.

But it was one hell of a roto job that's for sure...
