Eric was born in Manhattan, NY and lived in Queens during his childhood. Since moving to North Carolina with his family, he soon acquired a love for film after visiting a childhood friend who took Eric on a tour of a local film school in the city.
Eric has placed all of his focus on filmmaking and understanding the process from beginning to end as he recently directed the short documentary, “Bi/RACIAL Me.”
Following its completion, the film soon won for Best Short Documentary at the Urban Mediamakers Film Festival in Atlanta, GA. It was also selected by the Dam Short Film Festival in Boulder City, NV and is part of Wake County's Black History Month Celebration.
The future looks promising for Eric. He has completed his film studies at Saint Augustine’s College having graduated summa cum laude. He has also been accepted into Duke University's MFA program in Experimental & Documentary Arts.
